Birdwatching at Ilene og Presterødkilen, Norway

Ilene and Presterødkilen are two nature reserves west and east of central Tønsberg which together form a wetland system with Ramsar status since 1985. Almost 300 bird species have been recorded, and flocks of several thousand individuals are not unusual during migration. An 8-metre-high bird tower is used for ringing, and the Ilene Wetland Visitor Centre presents the area's natural values.
