A Ramsar wetland since 2002 at the mouth of the Stabburselva in the Porsangerfjorden, with some of the country's largest continuous areas of shallow water. The reserve is especially important for the rare Lesser White-fronted Goose, and during the spring migration Red Knot can gather in flocks of up to 30,000 birds. A birdwatching tower at Valdakmyra is open to visitors from spring to autumn.
