A Ramsar wetland on and around the island of Tautra in the Trondheimsfjorden, with over 200 recorded bird species and one of the country's richest concentrations of birdlife. Thousands of geese, ducks and waders stop over here on migration, and each year it is possible to see rarer species such as Peregrine Falcon, Bar-tailed Godwit and Purple Sandpiper.
