Birdwatching at Vestre Vansjø naturreservat, Norway

A wetland reserve in the western part of Vansjø, Østfold's largest lake with an area of 36.4 square kilometres and many bays and islands. The reserve, of about 3,296 decares of which 617 decares are land, was established in 1992 in what were then Moss and Rygge municipalities precisely to preserve an important wetland area with its vegetation and birdlife, together with the adjoining Moskjæra nature reserve.
