Birdwatching at Vikanbukta fuglefredningsområde, Norway

Part of the Ramsar-designated Trondheimsfjorden wetland system, with a two-kilometre shoreline and broad mud and sand flats between Stjørdal harbour and Kleivan. Over 145 bird species have been recorded over the past ten years, and the area is important as a stopover site for Svalbard geese during the spring and autumn migration and as a wintering area for Common Eider.
