The Carrion Crow sounds exactly like the Hooded Crow — a hoarse, monotonous "kraaa-kraaa-kraaa" that may be repeated in long series. The alarm call is a sharper, faster "kra-kra-kra". Flocks of corvids communicate with a varied repertoire of softer calls and contact notes.
