The Sedge Warbler builds its cup-shaped nest low in dense vegetation, often in waterside grass, sedge or bushes near water. The clutch usually comprises 5–6 eggs. Both parents take part in feeding the young, which leave the nest before they are fully fledged and then keep hidden in the dense vegetation until they can fly properly.
