Breeding season: April–July, normally 2 broods per season. - Nest: in wall holes, under roof tiles, in woodpiles, letterboxes and half-open boxes. Built of grass, moss and hair. - Eggs: 5–6 greyish-white with brown-speckled markings. Incubation 12–14 days. - Young: fed with insects by both parents. Fledged after 13–15 days.
