Åkulla beech woods is a scenic nature reserve with old beech trees in Halland, between Varberg and Falkenberg. Black Woodpecker is common in the old trees and European Pied Flycatcher breeds in cavities. Black Grouse is seen at leks in the adjacent open land and European Honey Buzzard passes through in May.
