Limhamn limestone quarry is a unique urban nature reserve in southern Malmö. A pair of Eurasian Eagle-Owls was resident in the quarry from 2009 to 2020 (the male remained until the turn of the year 2020/2021) but has not been confirmed to breed there in recent years. The old industrial site has been transformed into an unusual habitat of rock ledges, open ground and a lake.
