Öslättfors is a gateway to the Testeboån nature reserve in Gävle. White-tailed Eagle can be seen regularly along the river valley, and Osprey breeds in the tall pines. Black-throated Loon can be seen on the still lakes nearby, and Grey Wagtail along the rapids.
