Siljan is one of Dalarna's most iconic lakes and an excellent spot for the loons. Black-throated Loon and Red-throated Loon breed in the calm bays, and Osprey can be seen daily. White-tailed Eagle visits the lake regularly, and Common Sandpiper can be seen along the shoreline.
