Birdwatching at Steningedalen, Sweden

Steningedalen is a 60-hectare nature reserve between Steningeviken and central Märsta in Sigtuna municipality. The valley encompasses the Märstaån river and the ponds of the Märsta water park, open pastures grazed by Highland cattle, and broadleaf woodland. At the water park, which lies just behind Märsta station, there is a bird tower and viewing platforms for birdwatching out across the ponds.
