Store Mosse National Park in Jönköping County is southern Sweden's largest mire system and has been a national park since 1982. The open mire landscape is home to Common Crane, Eurasian Curlew and European Golden Plover, and in spring and summer the air fills with the calls of Wood Sandpiper and Ruff. Store Mosse offers a unique wilderness experience in the middle of southern Sweden, with well-marked trails and birdwatching hides.
