Cackling Goose: Breeding

The Cackling Goose does not breed in Sweden. On its Arctic breeding grounds in Canada and Greenland the species nests on tundra, often near water, and, like other geese, lays a clutch of eggs in a shallow, down-lined nest scrape. The birds seen in Sweden are visitors outside the breeding season.
