The Eurasian Skylark is one of nature's most prolific singers:
The song flight: an unbroken, complex trilling — varying phrases, imitations and fine trills. Continues for up to 15 minutes without a break at 50–100 m height, hovering in the air.
Contact call: a soft "chirrup" or "chrrrp" in flight.
Alarm: a scratchy "trrrr" near the nest.
The song season is March–July, most intense in April–May early in the morning. Recordings are available on xeno-canto and Artportalen (the Swedish species observation system).
