The Mistle Thrush breeds very early, often as early as March. The nest is a sturdy cup placed in a tree fork. The female usually lays 4 eggs, and the species can manage two broods in a favourable spring. When disturbed, the Mistle Thrush defends the nest aggressively against both raptors and corvids.
