Taiga Flycatcher: Song & calls

The call is a dry, slightly hard "chrrt" that recalls a combination of the calls of the Common Redstart and the Red-breasted Flycatcher. It is somewhat drier and more rattling than in the Red-breasted Flycatcher. The song, rarely heard in Sweden, is clearer and more monosyllabic. The call is the most important identification criterion for females and young birds.
