Temminck's Stint: Breeding

Temminck's Stint breeds on mountain bogs and in damp willow and tundra vegetation. The nest is a shallow scrape on a tussock. The female usually lays 4 eggs. The species has an unusual mating system in which a female may lay eggs in several nests, with the male and female each incubating a separate clutch.
