The Tundra Bean Goose does not breed in Sweden. On its breeding grounds in the Arctic tundra it places the nest on the ground in open, damp terrain, often near water. The female lays a clutch of a few eggs, which she incubates while the gander keeps watch nearby. The young are nest-leavers and grow quickly during the short Arctic summer, and the family stays together during the autumn migration south.
