Whooper Swan: Song & calls

  • Call: a deep, bugling "hoo-hoo hoo-hoo" or "hong-hong" — a unique trumpet tone. Heard at 2–4 km distance.
  • In flight: the wings produce a whirring sound; flocks call continuously.
  • Young: light, piping calls.
