Willow Tit: Diet

The diet consists of insects, spiders, larvae and seeds. In summer animal food dominates, while seeds and seed matter become more important during the winter half of the year. The Willow Tit is a diligent hoarder that during the autumn hides individual seeds in thousands of separate caches in bark and lichen, and it has a remarkable ability to remember where the caches are.
