The Willow Tit is a pronounced resident that stays in the coniferous forest all winter and rarely moves far from its territory.
Food: it lives largely on seeds and insects that it has hoarded during the autumn in thousands of separate caches in bark and lichen, and which it remembers with remarkable precision.
Flocks: in winter it often joins roving tit parties together with Great Tit, Goldcrest and Treecreeper.
Bird table: it visits feeders near old-growth forest, but is rarely among the very commonest visitors within built-up areas.
