Birdwatching at Torneälven, Sweden

The Torneälven forms the national border with Finland and offers outstanding birdwatching in Norrbotten. White-tailed Eagle are seen regularly along the river valley and Grey Wagtail breed by the rapids. Black-throated Loon are seen on calm stretches of water and Smew on the quieter reaches of the river.
