European Crested Tit: Diet

The diet consists of insects, spiders and larvae during the warmer part of the year, while conifer seeds — mainly spruce seeds — become increasingly important during the autumn and winter. Like several other tits, the European Crested Tit caches seeds and insects in bark crevices and among lichens to see it through the winter.
