In Sweden the Isabelline Wheatear is mostly silent. The commonest call is a rattling, hard "chack-chack" recalling the warning calls of other wheatears. On the breeding grounds further east the species has a whistling, mimicking song, but it is rarely heard from the birds that occur in Sweden.
