The Marsh Tit is a cavity nester. Unlike the Willow Tit, which excavates its own nest cavity in rotten wood, the Marsh Tit uses existing natural tree cavities, old woodpecker holes or nest boxes. The female usually lays 6–9 eggs, which she incubates while the male brings food.
