The Marsh Tit is a pronounced and extremely sedentary resident bird that stays near its breeding territory throughout the winter.
Food: in autumn and winter it switches from insects to seeds and nuts, and like other tits it hoards food in bark crevices and moss to retrieve it later.
Flocks: it moves through the deciduous woodland in winter, often in loose company with other tits.
Bird table: less common at feeders than the Blue Tit and Great Tit, but it may visit bird tables located near deciduous woodland.
