Eurasian Pygmy Owl: Breeding

Breeding season: April–June, 1 brood per season. - Nest: in old woodpecker holes (Great Spotted Woodpecker), at 3–8 m height. No purpose-built nest boxes are used. - Eggs: 4–7 white, round. Incubation 28–29 days by the female alone. - Young: fed intensively by both parents. Fledge after 28–34 days.
