The Eurasian Tree Sparrow is a cavity nester and builds its nest in hollow trees, wall crevices or nest boxes, often in loosely knit colonies. The female usually lays 4-6 eggs, and a pair often manages two or three broods in a season. Both parents help feed the young, which are fed first on insects and later on a mix of seeds and small creatures.
