European Robin: Diet

  • Summer: insects, spiders, earthworms, larvae — actively sought on the ground.
  • Autumn and winter: berries (rowan, bird cherry, privet), seeds, insects in bark crevices.

The European Robin follows ground-foraging animals — badgers, wild boar, gardeners — to catch the insects they disturb. This makes it one of the more "tame" of the Swedish birds.
